Book Design

A clean but colorful dissertation design inspired by its scientific subject balance

My mother received her doctorate in September 2017. Prior to that she asked me to design her dissertation. As much as this project was personal, it was also a great opportunity to practice both my graphic design and my communication skills.

The most important accomplishment? the design elevated the content in legibility, clarity, and credibility. It was inspiring to see scientists recognize the power of design! Also important? Seeing how proud my mom felt holding the book, representing a life’s work, in her hands.
